雅思听力考场高分技巧之排除法
排除法是选择题的有效答题方法，今天介绍三种排除法：
1, 相似排除
考官在设置考点时，故意将音频中部分原词放到选项中，并且往往跟在题干关键后出现，引诱考生出错。然后把正确选项同义(近义)改写成音频中的内容。
例如：
-Why has James chosen to do a case study on the company Furniture Rossi?
A. It has enjoyed global success
B. It is still in a development phase
C. It is an example of a foreign company being rebranded for Australia.
音频‘Furniture Rossi is an Australian company, got plans to expand into foreign markets…’虽然音频中出现了选项c中的部分原词，但是表达的句义与c选项并不相同;‘aiming to build a global brand…’,出现A选项原词，句义不符。答案句 ‘it is gong through a transition…’,transition与development phase构成替换。
可见如果我们把握住出题者设置陷阱的手段，就可以通过相似排除的方法，提升答题正确率。
2, 时态排除
通过观察不难发现，一般情况下，选择题所考察的时态均为一般现在时，偶尔考察过去或者将来时时，题干上会有明确的时态标示词。既然常考察一般现在时，那么音频中描述过去或者将来的内容则为干扰信息。
常见过去时路标词：was/were, V+ed…thought, use to, in the past…
常见将来时路标词：plan/intend to do sth, thinking to, aiming to, next time…
例如：
-The entertainment will be a
A. Live band
B. Comedian
C. Magician
音频‘we were expecting a live band…we had hoped that the resident magician who worked here through the summer would be able to help out but they were not keen on the idea…’由音频可知A和C选项都为过去时，可以通过时态法进行排除。
3, 并列排除
这一方法是在解答听力单选题中最好用的方法。即一般情况下，在三个选项中，如果其中有两个选项由and或者or连接，那么这两个选项一般均不是答案。
例如：
-Local newspapers have raised worries about
A. The late opening date
B. The cost of the project
C. The size of the facilities
音频‘also, just in case you were wondering, we’re on schedule for June 15th opening date and well within budget…’其中on schedule对应A选项，within budget对应B选项，两句由and连接，可知答案为C。

了解雅思出题思路
然而我们说，雅思考试从来不以单纯地考察你的单词量为目的，其听力考试的考察主旨也是看考生是否能在正常的生活、学习状态下听懂自己需要的信息，既然是正常的生活学习的状态，那就一定会碰到我们考生不认识的词，所以大家首先要有这个心理准备，有生词是正常的;其次，一般来说，雅思听力不会要求考生去填写那些巨难的生词，这不符合雅思的出题思路。因此，考生们只要了解到生词出现的目的和生词常常在什么时候出现，就很容易绕过生词去答题了。
难词出现有章可循
首先一般生词出现的两个套路：第一是在填空题当中“鱼目混珠”，干扰考生去抓那个熟悉的词，第二是在选择搭配等题型当中对一些词进行代换和解释，这种代换解释又可以分为两种情况来讨论，一是对于干扰选项的代换，其实我们大多数时候都是通过听力文章段落的划分、说话人的主观语气选择等方式将干扰项排除掉，所以生词可以直接跳过，第二种情况就是对正确选项的代换了，虽然理论上说正确选项是我们需要听懂的，但是雅思听力中如果对正确选项就行了生词代换，那一般都会继续用一些从句、同位语等方式进行进一步解释说明。
考生应在了解这两个套路的基础上，勤加练习，像玩“扫地雷”的游戏一样把一个个的生词坑跳过去。下面我们利用剑桥当中的实例，看看究竟怎样在填空题和选择题中跳过生词，锁定答案。
举一些例子
在剑五的test1 section2当中，介绍对各个品牌的婴儿床的评价，表格的最右栏出现一个单词verdict，有些同学是不认识这个单词的，读题时觉得很恐惧，可是大家想一想，这个表格一个四栏，前面三个已经分别讲述了婴儿床的品牌名称，优点及存在问题，那最后一栏一定一个总结性的信息。
简单地说，这种品牌的婴儿床值不值得推荐。因此，即使你不知道verdict是裁定、审定的意思，也没关系，只要你知道最后这一栏应该填上说话人对于各品牌的主观态度、综合评价即可。那么这道题是很简单的，除了自己推断这个方法以外，大家还可以根据读音锁定答案，原因是录音材料中并没有进行代换，退一步说，即使代换了另一个考生不认识的词，也没关系，反正我们牢记我们要抓的是主观综合评价，即可锁定satisfactory，dangerous和best buy这三个答案。
选择题同样可以做好
如果说填空题可以直接绕过生词锁定答案，那么有时候在选择题当中，生词就是答案的情况就显得难一些。但是只要我们掌握方法，这样的题目也是可以做好的，从雅思听力的出题规律来看，如果在三选一的选择题当中，利用生词来替换答案，那么录音材料一定会在后面对答案进行补充说明，这种补充说明通常都是以定语从句，同位语，或者是下定义的方式给出，考生需要做的，就是在听到生词答案后不要惊慌，记住这个生词的大致发音，然后屏气凝神等下文对这个生词的解释。甚至在有些时候，雅思真题表现得就像担心考生选不出正确答案一样，除了解释说明外，前前后后还会给考生很多暗示，我们来看看剑四当中的一道题：
在剑四的test3 section2当中，是以为女士向大家介绍一个summer festival的活动内容，其中第十四题选择题，问到了某个马戏团将在什么地方为大家演出，一共三个选项，theatre, tent和stadium，都不是很难。问题是后面的录音当中，正确答案tent被代换成了一个较为生僻的单词：marquee，大部分同学都这个词都没有印象，答案在it followed a long tradition by performing in a marquee这句话中带出来，同学们都知道答案是marquee，问题是，marquee对应的究竟是三个选项中的哪一个?很多同学就这么慌了神，错过了后面的内容。
其实，如果同学们能够牢记雅思的考察要点，细心大胆地等待后面的内容：which is really like a canvas portable building, usually put up in a green space or car park, rather than in a theatre or stadium.就一定可以分析出答案是B，帐篷。
推断答案的方法多种多样
具体分析来看，我们至少有三个方法推断出答案：第一，根据听力的解释说明原则，后面句子说marquee是一个帆布的，可以动的，通常可以架在一片绿地上或者是停车场上，那么这个答案就是帐篷无疑了;或者，也可以利用所谓的“答案不明说，明说不答案”的原则，清楚明白地读出来的一定不是答案，可以排除theatre和stadium，更何况theatre和stadium前面还有一个表示否定的rather than呢;再或者，考生如果能抓到前面的as this is a traveling circus，从一个traveling当中也可以大胆推测出，这个马戏团是在帐篷中演出的。
从这些例子我们可以看出，即使是在雅思听力中遇到了生词，我们也不要害怕，一定可以有办法把正确答案找出来。当然了，在平时的学习中还是要注意词汇的积累，否则如果一句话有一多半的单词不认识那么什么技巧也不管用的
